The young Indian star, Prithvi Shaw - along with two other cricketers - are suspended due to a doping violation. He was tested for it on 22 February, 2019 during Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
The young player gave a urine test in which a compound, Terbutaline, was found. This substance is prohibited according to WADA list of prohibited substances.
He was charged under the BCCI anti-doping rules violation (ADRV) article on 2.1.
He has been given a back-dated eight month suspension. He told that he took the substance in the form of a cough syrup. As he was tested on February 22, 2019, his 8 month suspension will end on November 15, 2019, due to it being back-dated.
