Glamorgan openers Jeremy Lawlor and David Lloyd put a quick-fire partnership of 88 in the first 8.4 overs before Jeremy got out. Lloyd completed his fifty before joining his fellow opener.
Glamorgan's captain, Colin Ingram, played a beautiful knock of 50 runs out of which 26 came from the last 5 balls with 2 fours and 3 sixes.
The target of 181 meant that Somerset had to go a little hard to maintain the runrate in place. And Tom Banton had his head clearly sorted out. He welcomed de Lange with 2 fours first up, then the bowler overstepped and Banton made him pay for that with a six and another to end the first over with 22 runs on the board.
Babar also struck the ball well but couldn't go on very long and ended his debut Blast innings on 35 runs with 4 fours. But there was no stopping Tom Banton at the other end. The 20 year old was ended his freakish knock on 64 which left the coming batsmen very less to worry about and Somerset chased it easily with two overs to spare.
